I’m Megan McKinley
a California native, avocado-toast maker, storytelling creative, and word-loving copywriter.
i’m more than just a copywriter
Your brand is multidimensional, just like you and me.
Words, like story, help us make sense of the world.
I’m a Jane of All Trades, master of some. For years, I struggled finding my place in the world trying on various sports, cities, and career fields. But writing has always been my foundation.
I started this business because I saw so many business owners struggle to tell their brand story.
With creativity and consistency, my storytelling approach to marketing copy is designed to help you connect with your customers and grow your brand.
Your story, like mine, has the ability to change the world.
people-person
Actually, I’m a ride-or-die kinda friend. Most of “my people” have been my friends for 7+ years.
My longest friendship started in kindergarten.
In the paraphrased words of Buddy the Elf, “I just like to listen. Listening is my favorite.”
Wanna brainstorm and share your ideas? I’m all ears.
I got into this business to serve people like you.
Filmmaker
If you’ve been behind the camera, you know how much power and responsibility there is to do your subject justice.
Art is your captured (penned, photographed, or painted) perspective of the world.
It’s invigorating.
Sometimes you just need to grab some popcorn to soak it all in.
traveler
Like dance parties? Me too! When I was in Russia to film a documentary, we stumbled upon an elders dance club in the park and joined in! I’ll never forget dancing with strangers to songs with lyrics I didn’t understand.
Usually, you can find me adventuring through a bookstore or planning my next trip abroad. I’m thinking Greece!
What’s on your bucket list?
Wordsmith
Words can change the world.
It’s my job to write words that affect change so your clients connect, learn, and buy.
Everyone should have a favorite word or two, right?
My Favorites: genuine, sternocleidomastoid, tetelestai (Greek)
Okay, so I have three!
What are yours?
Athlete
You don’t realize how amazing sports are until later in life.
When push comes to shove you volunteer to fill a gap at work because the job has to get done. It’s not in your job description, yet you do it anyway for your team.
Yeah, you probably played competitive sports.
After years of competitive soccer, softball, basketball, and track, I finally landed on volleyball in high school. I went on to play volleyball in college.
Volleyball is my favorite. Spikeball takes a close second.
Sports are the stuff of legend — forging character through chaos and triumph.
foodie
Growing up in an Italian home, food is life.
Homemade pasta is great, but eating with loved ones is irreplaceable.
